Tullahoma Test Pilots Name Josh Morris General Manager
Tullahoma, TN — The Tullahoma Test Pilots are proud to announce Josh Morris as the organization’s General Manager, bringing a strong baseball background, deep community ties, and a passion for growing the game in his hometown.
Morris steps into the role with a clear vision of uniting the Tullahoma community through high-level summer baseball.
“Tullahoma has a tradition of being a baseball community, and to bring high-level college baseball to our town is amazing,” said Morris. “What excites me most is families having something to do in our town and creating something that brings all types of people together.”
Fans can expect an exciting and competitive brand of baseball from the Test Pilots. “You’ll see local talent alongside high-level college players putting on a show,” Morris said. “We expect to be strong, competitive, and fun to watch every night.”
One of the most meaningful aspects of this opportunity for Morris is the chance to work alongside family. His brother, Bryan Morris, will serve as Head Coach, adding a special dynamic to the organization’s leadership. “We’re very close, and this allows us to spend more time together doing something we both love—baseball,” he said. “I also love my hometown, and this gives our town something to be proud of outside of high school athletics.”
A Tennessee native, Morris grew up in McMinnville and was a multi-sport athlete in both baseball and basketball during his high school years. He continued his baseball career at Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma before earning a scholarship to the University of Tennessee, where he played shortstop for two years and later served as an assistant coach, including time coaching first base.
Morris’s playing career also includes being selected in the 16th round of the MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles, a testament to his talent and dedication to the game.
Off the field, Morris is deeply rooted in the Coffee County community, where he has lived for 26 years. He is married to his wife Amy, and together they have a blended family that includes two daughters and three stepchildren.
With his extensive playing experience, coaching background, and strong local connections, Morris is poised to lead the Test Pilots into an exciting new era focused on community pride, player development, and a first-class fan experience.
The Tullahoma Test Pilots look forward to an exciting season ahead under Morris’s leadership as they bring high-level college baseball to the heart of their community.
